THE LOTUS EYE PILLOW - it really packs a punch when it comes to health and wellbeing

THE LOTUS EYE PILLOW - it really packs a punch when it comes to health and wellbeing - Nolava Designs

We use organic cotton in every Lotus Eye Pillow — no one wants itchy, watery eyes. The lavender we use is imported from France, which is part of why the scent is so authentic and long-lasting.

Since our first purple eye pillow (a nod to the Crown Chakra, and where the NOLAVA story began) we've gradually expanded the range. Today the Lotus Eye Pillow comes in a few colourways, including a fragrance-free option for anyone who prefers it scent-free — see the full current range here.

Why Customers Call the Lotus Eye Pillow a Must-Have

  1. Stress relief — a few minutes with the eye pillow can meaningfully reduce stress, thanks to its gentle pressure and (optional) calming lavender scent.
  2. Improved sleep quality — blocking out light and providing soothing aromatherapy signals to your body that it's time to wind down.
  3. Headache and migraine relief — the gentle weight can ease tension headaches and migraines by relaxing the muscles around the eyes and temples.
  4. Enhanced yoga and meditation practice — use it during Savasana or seated meditation for deeper relaxation and focus.
  5. Eye strain relief — ideal for anyone who spends long hours in front of screens.

How to Use the Lotus Eye Pillow

  • Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can fully unwind.
  • Gently place the pillow over your closed eyes, adjusting until it feels comfortable.
  • Take slow, deep breaths and let the weight and (if scented) the lavender do their work.
  • Stay in this state for as long as feels good — there's no minimum or maximum.
  • Cool it: pop it in the fridge for a soothing cold pack for headaches or puffiness.
  • Warm it: a few seconds in the microwave turns it into a warm compress — ophthalmologists often recommend warm compresses for dry eye relief.

10 Creative Ways to Use Your Lotus Eye Pillow

  1. Travel companion — turn any seat into a relaxation zone on a flight or long car trip.
  2. Dental zen zone — ease the tension of a dental appointment by placing it over your eyes during the procedure.
  3. Spa therapy at home — pair it with a hot bath and your favourite playlist.
  4. Sports recovery — chill it and use it to soothe sore muscles or areas of tension after a workout.
  5. Power nap enhancer — block out light and drift off to the scent of lavender.
  6. Mindfulness reminder — keep it at your desk for a quick relaxation break.
  7. Evening wind-down — use it to signal to your body that it's time to relax, even without an actual sunset.
  8. Acupressure assistant — apply gentle pressure to the forehead or temples to relieve stress.
  9. Study buddy — rest tired eyes between study or screen sessions; warm it briefly for extra relief.
  10. Cold and flu season — warm the unscented version slightly to ease sinus pressure and congestion.
